In Celebration of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day 4-22-2020

Just wanted to reach out and give a brief history of earthontheedge.org Earth on the Edge was originally part of my other website connectavision.net. In 2018 I decided to make earthontheedge its own entity. I decided to work on a series of projects related to Plastic Pollution, Invasive Species and Habitat Restoration. In July 2018 I did a tributary litter removal project  involving picking up litter at 15 waterways that directly impact the Pacific Ocean. My intent was to Launch the website on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day 4-22-2020. I had been working in coordination with 3 different schools in Clackamas County Oregon to show kids how to take English Ivy off of trees.

The Corona Virus has wreaked havoc on all of our lives and mine has been no exception. The schools all shut down on March 13th 2020. I decided that I would do the biggest of the three projects solo. I went down to Meldrum Bar Park in Gladstone Oregon and removed Ivy from 202 trees. Trees provide the breath of life, and I could find no better way to Launch an environmental website.

Here’s wishing everyone good health and a speedy recovery for us allHappy Earth Day From Monte & Clyde and earthontheedge.org In Celebration of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day 4-22-2020
