Trees Saved 2020-21
Ivy kills trees. Trees are the lungs of the earth. Healthy trees improve air quality, produce oxygen and absorb carbon. Ivy networks on the ground can put trees in drought. Ivy on the ground starves trees of nutrients. Ivy leaves on tree trunks block sunlight absorption and can prevent photosynthesis. Ivy removal can help restore ecosystems. Trees choked by Ivy die sooner; their oxygen output and carbon absorption capability are greatly diminished. Ivy removal is something we can all do to improve air quality and help slow the effects of climate change.
